The Sparking Luggers Ukulele Group

The Sparking Luggers Ukulele Group - or Ukulele Band - meet for an hour or two in the

Liskerrett Community Centre, Varley Lane, (the former Junior School) at Liskeard on

Sunday evenings at 6pm.

The main aim is to strum and have fun. Bring a ukulele and a voice and a join-in spirit.

We strum and sing all the familiar songs. If you do not know some of them they will

become familiar after a week or two! If you cannot play a ukulele you will learn a few

chords very quickly - three chords will get you by for most of the time. With a good

crowd drowning out any mistakes you make no one will ever notice. Ukuleles can be

bought, brand new, for around £15. One of the charity shops in Liskeard sells them.

If you want even more fun you can join the Sparking Luggers on one of their occasional

outings to pubs, and fetes. Watch and singalong with the audience, or better still join in
